As Vice President of Strategic Development, Claudia Cummings is responsible for fund development and ensuring that Conexus Indiana’s initiatives embody an ambitious yet achievable strategy to position Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistics sectors as the global leader. Claudia previously held the position of Vice President of Workforce and Education at Conexus.
Prior to joining Conexus Indiana, Claudia was Deputy Commissioner at the Indiana Department of Administration where she was responsible for legislative affairs, state contracting and small business development. Claudia dedicated her early career to public service working as the media relations assistant for the Mayor of Indianapolis, the legislative aide to the Speaker of the Indiana House, Chief-of-Staff to the Marion County Clerk, and press secretary and community relations advisor to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana.
Claudia currently Chairs the Goodwill Education Initiatives Board of Directors and serves on the Leadership Council of the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council and the Distinguished Alumni Council for the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). She has recently been a member of the State Workforce Innovation Council and the Indianapolis Local Public Improvement Bond Bank.
Claudia received her Bachelor’s Degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania, a Masters of Public Affairs from SPEA, and she completed the Dartmouth College, Tuck School of Business Executive Education Program.
