Karen Hensley joined Conexus Indiana in July 2017 as the Partner Success Manager for the northern half of the state. Her new role focuses on the recruitment and support of Hire Tech schools and their A+ Partners, as well as the promotion of the Conexus Interns program. She will also support office initiatives and events, such as educator seminars and case competitions.
Prior to joining Conexus Indiana, Karen served the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office of Education Innovation (OEI) as Strategy and Operations Associate, Community Engagement Manager, and Communications and Operations Manager. In her managerial and associate positions, Karen served as project manager for the charter team, created and managed content for OEI digital communications, administered a $200,000 grant to provide GreatSchools Indianapolis resources to low-income families, and oversaw the team’s performance management functions. She also previously served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Associate with the Corporation for National and Community Service, where she co-led the planning and outreach phase of the City’s GreatSchools grant.
Karen holds both a Master of Public Affairs from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University, Bloomington.
