Nominations are now being accepted for the Andre B. Lacy Vanguard Award through April 30, 2021. Conexus Indiana established the award in 2018 to honor the legacy of Andre B. Lacy, a philanthropist and business leader revered for his business and civic leadership and his adventurous spirit and make-it-happen mentality.
The Andre B. Lacy Award, in its fourth year, continues to gain prominence for its unique recognition of leaders who champion the advanced manufacturing and logistics industries and who exemplify Andre Lacy’s spirit, civic commitment and philanthropic leadership.
“A philanthropic and business leader, Andre B. Lacy left behind a large footprint on Indiana, serving as a role model for all of us in the advanced manufacturing and logistics industries,” said J. Mark Howell, president and CEO for Conexus Indiana. “Conexus Indiana is proud to honor that legacy with the Vanguard Award, celebrating industry leaders driving innovation, progress and leadership in the advanced manufacturing and logistics industries.”
Andre B. Lacy, a third-generation leader of his family business, expanded Lacy Diversified Industries Ltd. (LDI) from a small manufacturing operation to a company with global interests in manufacturing, distribution and logistics. He is the namesake of Butler University’s School of Business, was a tireless civic leader with service on numerous corporate and community boards and was an early champion of Conexus Indiana. He passed away in November 2017.
