INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – With ready capital and an appetite for expansion, employers in Indiana’s largest industry sector are poised to invest in a strategy that will fuel growth and help them address the ongoing workforce shortage: automation. The 2017 Indiana Manufacturing Survey: Upgrading for Growth reveals that the manufacturing sector is in the process of increasing capital investments, with a large share of investment dollars going into automation and technology.
As Conexus Indiana continues to create opportunities for advanced manufacturing and logistics companies and prepare Hoosiers to seize them, the statewide organization has hired two veteran professionals to deliver its programs to more Indiana high schools, businesses and communities. Karen Hensley and Sarah Harrison have joined Conexus Indiana as Conexus Indiana Partner Success Managers and will work with local stakeholders to increase access to Conexus Indiana’s high school curriculum program and to expand its Conexus Interns program.
